- Fast Video Download (get it from here), to download movies from YouTube and similar video-hosting sites.
- OpenOffice, the open source alternative to Microsoft Office: a complete suite of full-featured office applications (word processor, slides/presentations, spreadsheet, ...), available from the official website;
- ZipGenius, free ZIP program (just like WinZip or WinRar) which handles a large variety of file formats: the official homepage is http://www.zipgenius.it/;
